Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho >> [link]

5 centimetres per second, another of Makoto Shinkai sensei's awesome work. This is a speed painting on Photoshop 7, deeply inspired by this movie, I finished this in 30 minutes or less.

I've always been a big fan of Shinkai sensei's work. For instant Hoshi no Koe, A voice of Distant Star won a place in my heart right after I watched it, which was like...4 years ago? It's such a touching story between this couple who was seperated by millions of light years and the only means of communication was sms which took months to years to reach. But that's not the main reason why I respected him so much. It was the fact that it was an one-man animation - Shinkai sensei did the beautiful animation himself, the character designing as well as the voice acting where he played as the school boy who was in love with someone who he could only reach through smses and his wife voiced as the girl who waited patiently each time for her smses to reach her lover. (They changed the voice actor after his debut) Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Bashou (Beyond the Cloud, The Promised Land) was another splendid movie from Shinkai sensei, (but hoshi no koe will always be the number 1 for me. XD) The tales start with 2 middle-school boys dream of making a small airplane (hikouki) to reach the other part of Japan (apparently Japan was divided to 2 nations in this story) where this huge, magnificient tower stood. And a girl who both of them were very fond of came occasionaly after classes to see how they were progressing with the airplane. But one day, right after the start of summer break, she stop visiting their secret hangar and disappeared for years...

Go buy his work and watch these for yourself! (Downloading them are possible of course, but buy the original too kay? =0 )

5 centimetres per second is one of his latest masterpiece and it is divided into 3 episodes... The first one was called, Oukasho ,The Cherry Blossom (Season) Lmao. I could only read the first two kanji because it's in chinese. Thank you *ryuuen for telling me the name.

Oh, and just a thing. All of his works were always accompanied by the most beautiful piano pieces. Be sure to get the OST as well!

** Thank you to :icondarkchilightchi: for recommending me this! I didn't know Makoto Shinkai has another movie~ Could recognised it ina glance when I started watching it. XD

** After painting this...I think it's possible for me to start my own portfolio where I need at least 1 piece of still life or landscape painting to get into any art college or school. Lol. If I didn't get the biochem lab summer break job or the volunteering job in South Africa or the Europe trip for BioMedic Internship, I might consider signing up for a summer course in any art college. I wonder if it's possible to be a university student and also a college student. o__o
